If you can no longer make your stay, you are welcome to gift/ sell your stay to friends or family. Please let us know the new guest’s details in advance of their arrival.
If it becomes necessary for you to completely cancel your booking please let us know in writing and we will, without prejudice, take reasonable steps to re-let the Shepherds Hut. Should we re-let your Hut we will refund you the balance of your booking value minus a £50 administration fee.
If we are unable to re-let your Hut, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellation by you over 14 days before your stay – We will issue you with 50% of your booking value in gift voucher credit
- Cancellation by you 5 – 14 days before your stay – We will issue you with 30% of your booking value in gift voucher credit
- Less than 5 days before your stay – You will incur the full charge of your stay
We understand the disappointment of needing to cancel your booking last minute. In order to protect you, we strongly advise you take out travel insurance for your stay in the eventuality that you need to cancel. Claiming on your insurance policy is the only way to receive a full cash refund, including your 50% deposit (which is otherwise non-refundable).
1 NIGHTS STAYS
1 nights stays are at the discretion of the owners and can only be made by contacting us directly. There is an additional £15 supplement payable for 1 night stays and no discount codes or vouchers can be redeemed against the overall cost of a 1 night stay.
Check in is after 3.00pm on the day of arrival, Checkout is 11am. Your check-in is contactless and you will be sent details prior to your arrival. We are however available on site and you can contact us on 07392075907 should you have any difficulties.
To secure your required booking date, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your booking is taken. This amount goes towards the total amount due for your stay, which is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. For bookings made less than 4 weeks in advance, the full amount is payable at time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking deposit is received in cleared funds. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is automatically assumed so we recommend you read them carefully before payment of the deposit. You will be sent a reminder when your balance is due. If this is not paid by the due date we reserve the right to release your accommodation back into general sale.
If you cause any damage to your Hut or elsewhere on the site during your stay please inform us immediately. We understand that accidents happen but often damage is made worse by being left without any clearing up.
Inside all of our Huts are small portable fire extinguishers which are only to be used in the instance there is a fire inside your hut.
We are a quiet peaceful site and we ask guest to be respectful to others on the site. Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated at any time and all noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Guests who in our reasonable opinion are causing nuisance may be required to immediately leave the site.
Occupancy of your Hut must not exceed 2 people and we reserve the right to decline accommodation and/or ask you to leave the site at any time if your numbers exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.
We don’t allow anyone on site who is not staying with us, unless this has been specifically requested prior to your stay and we have agreed to it under the specific circumstances.
We operate as a dog-friendly site and charge a supplement £10 per dog (with a maximum of two dogs) to cover additional cleaning responsibilities. Dog owners are requested to follow the following rules:
- Please keep your dog on a lead at all times on site. Your dog may be friendly, but we do receive guests who are afraid of dogs and may find them approaching them scary.
- There is livestock in all our neighbouring fields and your dogs should never be allowed to cause any distress to these animals.
- Clean up all dog foul onsite and put in our “dog poo bin”
- Please do not allow your dog to sleep on the beds. Please provide your own dog bedding.
We hope that you really enjoy your stay with us, but of you have any issues please let us know immediately so we can rectify them for you. Unfortunately we will not be able to deal with any complaints once you have left the site.
In extreme weather Silver Fern Glamping reserves the right to close the site. In this circumstance we will move your booking to an alternative date.
CHILDREN & MINORS
Silver Fern Glamping requires that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21 years old.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Huts or inside any public space under any circumstances. Smoking outdoors is permitted but please collect any cigarette butts and dispose of them appropriately. Any breach of this may result in a deep cleaning charge of £75.
We have a zero tolerance on the use of drugs on the site, including the use of cannabis. Any guest found to be using drugs on the site will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued.
